All our tips
Let’s be honest, there’s no need to be Spielberg!
Just follow these few simple rules:
The BEST tips

1
Film and take photos in landscape mode

2
Stay steady
-
Two hands work much better (without putting your finger in front of the lens, of course).
-
Avoid walking while filming.
A stable shot = better results.

3
FORGET THE ZOOM
Smartphone zoom is a bit like enlarging a blurry photo.
Get closer with your legs (they’re useful for that too!)

4
Make short videos
No need to film 30 seconds to show a landscape!
Make short, stable videos, no longer than 10 seconds.

To make it even better
-
Clean the lens (yes, really)
Before filming, wipe it with a cloth, t-shirt, or sleeve. Otherwise, your film will have an unwanted romantic fog effect.
-
Vary your shots
-
A wide shot (everyone, landscape)
-
A close-up (faces)
-
A detail (hands, a smile, a cake…)
-
It makes the film much more lively.
-
Pay attention to light
Avoid filming or photographing someone with the sun behind them.
Put the light in front of the subject, not behind.
Otherwise: mysterious silhouette guaranteed!
-
Think about sound
If someone is speaking, get closer.
Avoid noisy places.
We prefer hearing a clear voice over a clattering background.
-
Film and photograph natural moments
-
Laughter
-
Glances
-
Spontaneous moments
-
No need to look at the camera like in a school photo.
-
No filters, no stickers, no text
Even if the “rainbow unicorn” filter is tempting.
Leave that for editing, we promise.
Send the files as they are
-
Don’t modify anything.
-
Don’t compress.
-
Avoid WhatsApp (quality enemy #1).
-
Send the original files, the editor will sort them 😉
Film simply, naturally, without chasing perfection.
